today marks the 2nd anniversary of the film me and my friends made in high school called “Tommy Titan Origins”. One of my first projects that I worked on behind the camera and in front of the camera. I wanted to share the story of this project as it helped me make friends who also wanted to make films for a living.
Timeline
When me and my friend were in 9th grade when we decided to revive an old club that existed then vanished “TitansTVClub“, basically a filmmaking club and broadcasting club. We were very ambitious at the time, so we decided to make a feature film about our school mascot Tommy Titan, a gladiator. The process of making it was very long and tiring. Working around school schedule, students schedules, and school regulations. It took us from grade 10 to grade 12 to finish the film, that’s 2 years!

But the best part of the whole thing was the premiere of it, our computer teacher, the one who helped us finance the film and guide us through it, managed to book a spot at a cheep theatre in Pitt meadows, where we would hold a premiere for all the people apart of the project. A long with parents, relatives, and others. When that time came around, I was only expecting at least 20 or 30 people, what we got was over 100 people. It was insane! everyone was there to watch our movie, and the theatre was almost full.
That was probably the best memory from high school, and it showed me the magic people can make when they work together on something, and I hope to replicate that in my own projects!

This is the sweetest trip down memory lane! That premiere turnout sounds absolutely magical.
